FFA Restoration Projects

FFA Restoration Project

The FFA is a national organization which promotes leadership, personal growth and career success among young people. The Sandhills Antique Farm Equipment Club has partnered with three FFA Agricultural Mechanics' programs in Harnett County to develop an annual Antique Farm Equipment restoration project agreement.  the S.A.F.E. Club provides the project for restoration and financial support for project expenses. In 2015, the project was a horse drawn plow and the 2016 project is a horse drawn Cole Planter.  These projects are exhibited at tractor shows across the state with signs identifying their FFA chapter name.  The goal of this partnership is to develop interest among young people to become the next generation of tractor collectors.  The FFA Chapters involved are Harnett Central, Triton, and Western Harnett.
